Indian agriculture has taken a paradigm shift from conventional mode of cultivation of crops to precision and corporate farming systems. The agriculture professionals are under immense pressure to produce more from limited arable land, water, labour and climate changeconstraints where the level of knowledge required is more intensive than ever before.
The agriculture curriculum is multidisciplinary covering a wide array of subjects into its fold which make its product "agri-graduates" be multifunctional and suitable for a broad spectrum of career options. Indeed more opportunities are available than the number of graduates looking for placement. The agri-graduates are being placed in agro-based industries, banking, multinational companies, commodity trading, civil sectors, government and nongovernmental organizations, entrepreneurship, and overseas employment.
An educational institute is successful and sustainable only when its product "students" are equipped with subject matter knowledge and can handle the emerging problems in Agricultural sector.
MGM Aurangabad took assiduous efforts to set up the faculty of Agriculture with prime focus on higher education and research in Agriculture. In this context NanasahebKadam College of Agriculture Gandheli was founded in May 2012 to fulfill the educational aspiration of the rural organization growth.
The centre has done exceedingly well in developing and strengthening the human resource, modern infrastructure and farm development for imparting the training to students.
I take this opportunity to congratulate, appreciate and thank Hon. Secretary Shri. AnkushraoKadam Sir, all trustees and management of MGM Trust for their inspiration, motivation and vision to Gandheli Ideology into strategic plan for the young professional's unity in Agriculture.
I am confident that the education and training provided by this institute will certainly help in developing competent Agricultural professionals.
